One core technology drives our product areas. We publish what we can; specifications and availability are shared directly.

Core technology

Vapor cell

The vapor cell is the core technology underneath our sensors. What it enables — clocks, magnetometers, gyroscopes — follows from how precisely it can be made and characterized.

Every area below rests on the same foundation: the manufacturing and characterization of quantum sensor components, solved in-house because there was nobody to buy it from.

Laser light crossing a sealed cell of atomic vapour into a detector, whose trace dips at the atomic resonance the sensor measures against.

Illustration · Qualification at volumeQualifying a component at volume is a different job from making one work once: the same measurement, on every part, in a room built to keep the dust out of it.Generated with gpt-image-2 on 2026-08-27, not photographed. It shows the kind of place this work happens; it is not Mesa Quantum hardware, a Mesa Quantum site or Mesa Quantum staff. Everyone visible in it was generated too — not real people, and not our engineers.

VCSEL

Vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers, characterized and qualified in-house. This is the one area where we publish performance results and where product is available today.

VCSEL

Metasurface

Optical metasurfaces developed alongside our VCSEL work.

Chip-scale photonic and optical devices

Atomic systems in development, spanning timing and inertial sensing.
